in the midst of the maelstrom

"Find Me in the midst of the maelstrom. Sometimes events whirl around you so quickly that they become a blur. Whisper My name in recognition that I am still with you...you will find peace and strength through praying My name... Accept each day just as it comes to you. Don not waste your time and energy wishing for a different set of circumstances. Instead, trust Me enough to yield to My design and purposes..." Jesus Calling

maelstrom= a large or violent whirlpool

Does that sound like your life? I love that in the midst of our swirling whirlpool of life that we don't have to wonder if God is aware of our circumstances. He is there with us! We just have to look for His presence. We also don't have to know what to pray or what to ask for, we just need to say His name, Jesus. And a whisper will do, because He is near.

How are you at accepting circumstances? Funny how we seldom question when our life is being blessed and going well, but let the maelstrom begin--or sometimes just a little swirling, and we start to question God. Do you waste your time and energy wishing for some other life? Isn't it sad how much time and energy that we waste worrying and then complain to God that we don't have enough of either?

Let's commit today to spend our time praising God for who He is and what He does for us instead of doubting His presence and protection and plan.

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him a name above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Isaiah 43:1 But now this is what the LORD says--He who created you, O Jacob. He who created you, O Israel. "Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
